This is not the new topic we are discussing about neither this is the first time it has come to highlight but as we all know that the problem of grid lock has been increasing more often, day by day so it has been one of the severe issue to be addressed and sorted out soon by the government.
the changing humidity clearly is a message that Dashain is on the way so ,crowd is obvious to increase more than usual especially at major shopping areas .we can see many hawkers visiting around to sell their goods , some setting their small "pasal" at the road side and some running after the vehicles stuck in traffic jam .Maximum area of footpath have been occupied with those "pasal" and hawkers around so , there can be seen difficulty for foot walkers to travel. Usually such "pasal" and hawkers used to be seen at evening in normal days but as now dashain is in its way , they can be seen from early morning nowadays especially at jadibuti, mangalbazar , koteshwor, Baneshwor and kalanki which are the main intersection point of traffic jam. this has caused problem for foot walkers, emergency vehicles and led to traffic jam .here I am not depicting to not allow anyone to sell their goods but I want to just notify the concerned bodies to think about any best way to settle them in a managed way so that no one gets effected as this has directly or indirectly caused blockade at road causing to increase in road accidents.
Another big issue related with this is delay in "ambulance service" which is the most crucial issue nowadays. Even the delay of 5 minutes can decide the life or death of a person . once I have seen a man taking his wife at hospital in ambulance as she was in her severe labor pain . she was at her miserable state and the situation would be more worst if the ambulance had to wait for more than 5 minutes at that day. luckily the blockade opened after 4 minutes and she was headed towards hospital. I had also faced this problem few years ago when I had to take one of my colleague to the hospital as she was unconscious but the traffic jam was so huge and we had to wait for 10 minutes at that time. somehow we managed to take the ambulance through small alley to the hospital after a little less traffic jam and she was medicated .so , why not think about making special lane or enhancing footpath lane upto the level at which a way for ambulance is left any time .Resettling of the hawkers and those small "pasal" can be an aid for separating emergency lane .

Poor road construction , improper traffic control system , indiscipline driving and no proper act to control such system has been the crucial issue to be addressed .why would someone's life need to suffer because of the carelessness of the government . Construction of roads , drainage, footpath , sky way etc should be done at major areas and before this it should be properly supervised by our "sahar bikas mantralaya " or the concerned "municipality" and all criteria should be fulfilled by the bidder while constructing any of those infrastructures. Width of the road is not same throughout its length , there is no proper drainage due to which road has been converted into small pits at major areas or filled with water all way during the rainy season . who will pay attention for these? our system is not good enough to even manage vehicles so there is no proper parking place that most vehicles are parked by side of road reducing footpath area . all this has led to crowd and traffic jam .Public can't go to their office at time , student can't go to attain exam at time even though they seem to be leaving their spot early for their destiny and ambulance can't give service at right time due which it has threatened the life of the one who is already in risk or fighting with life.
my republica on October 4 /2018 , has addressed the issue of patient died on ambulance due to traffic jam in dhading . A recent report of 2318 killed in road accident in across 11 month has been published in Himalayan times too . All these news has just been the highlight of the day or story of burning news for few ears and for certain time but what about those who has actually faced this problem or whose belongings has gone through this .?this will sure to happen again if we don't think and act to address this issue soon.

we can learn many techniques from around the world besides the act we need to implement on sorting out this issue like we can learn the way of managing middle way called Rettungsgasse (also called rescue lane) from Germans for emergency vehicles . (jalopnik.com ). Government could use visual sensing and can set traffic management center for controlling traffic. (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov) (https://www.nationalthailand.com).If this could be done this this blockade problem could be solved somehow and life risk could be mitigated.
